He is a PhD and Professor of piano, and a former award-winning concert pianist, acclaimed for his recordings of works by Edvard Grieg, Maurice Ravel and Robert Schumann. As creator and producer of childre’s content in Animando over the last 10 years, Sigurd has led multiple productions of Elias, a Norwegian animated children’s classic with a wide international impact, distributed by Netflix.
Over the last years, Slåttebrekk wanted to combine his two fields of competence in a project for family audiences: The Music Factory. This project seeks to engage children with entertaining and innovative music experiences in interactive formats, breaking down historical barriers around classical music, making it fun and accessible for everyone.

Animando has been instrumental in bringing The Music Factory experiences to life. They have been with the project from the very beginning, producing, financing, and they are now expanding the project internationally.
OSLO PHILHARMONIC
The Oslo Philharmonic Orchestra played a pivotal role in initiating the original concert. Over time, they have piloted and refined the live concert show, creating an enchanting musical experience for the audience.
EXPANSE
The animation and VFX studio Expanse, has been with the project since the start. Collaborating closely, they have crafted all the animation and visual elemets for both the live show and the theme park attraction.
